Our Services
Kilter Chiropractic & Performance offers one-on-one appointments with a Doctor of Chiropractic to provide comprehensive, evidence-based chiropractic care to help meet your individual needs and goals! Each plan of care starts with a thorough assessment with medical history review, movement analysis, orthopedic or neurological testing, and collaborative goal setting. Our goal is to relieve pain through adjustments, when indicated, and other manual therapy techniques to be able to improve form, function and strengthen with rehabilitative exercises.
-
Chiropractic adjustments are High-Velocity Low-Amplitude (HVLA) manipulations used, when indicated, to restore range of motion to restricted joints – decreasing pain and improving function.
-
Therapeutic Massage is the manual manipulation of soft tissues. Unlike relaxation massage, therapeutic massage is targeted and goal-oriented working a specific area to relieve tension, increase range of motion and function, reduce painand inflammation, and improve blood flow. Ranging from gentle to deep pressure, therapeutic massage often combines various techniques including, but not limited to deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release.
-
Muscle Energy Techniques (MET) is a form of manual therapy utilizing the patient’s own muscle contractions to relax and lengthen muscles. These gentle isometric muscle contractions aid in relieving pain by utilizing neuromuscular reflexes (autogenic inhibition or reciprocal inhibition).
-
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a therapy technique using specialized tools (like Gua Sha, Graston, ect) to improve mobility to restricted soft tissues, reduce scar tissue formation, and promote healing through increased blood flow and stimulating collagen production.
-
Cupping is a decompressive technique, using sanitized plastic or silicone cups, to lift tissues through suction. This suction helps relieve tension and improve blood flow to the area, which can help accelerate the healing process and reduce inflammation.
-
Rehabilitative exercises are targeted movements focused on restoring function, mobility, and strength. These exercises are customized to individual goals and carefully progressed.
At Kilter, each care plan will incorporate rehabilitative exercises both in-office, as well as take-home programs, to support rehabilitation and long-term goals, whether it’s being able to pick up the grandkids, swing a golf club, complete multiple runs down the snowy slopes, return to running, or hike the beautiful PNW!
